Kamaole Beach Park I (aka "Kam 1")
Overview:
The northernmost of the "Kam" beaches, Kamaole Beach Park I has something the other two Kam beaches don't:
Lifeguards and beach volleyball.
Seriously though, this is one of the best places on Maui for beach volleyball, and there's an ABC store right across the street if you need any drinks or snacks.
You'll find good snorkeling on both ends of the beach, and just like every other beach in Kihei, afternoons can be windy.

Good For:
Snorkeling, boogie boarding, swimming, beach volleyball, visiting on foot from your condo.
Not So Good For:
Windy afternoons, and it can sometimes get crowded.
Maui Expert Tip For Kamaole I Beach:
To escape the wind, walk all the way to the north end of the beach—known as Charley Young Beach.
Directions and Parking Situation:
The beach is right along South Kihei Road and there's a public lot for beach parking.
Facilities:
Restrooms, showers, lifeguards, beach volleyball, picnic tables.
