Kamaole Beach Park II (aka "Kam 2")

Kamaole Beach Park Kam 2 Maui
Overview: Arguably one of the best beaches in Kihei, Kamaole Beach Park II offers great snorkeling on both ends of the beach and beautiful conditions each morning.

If you're up early from jet lag and are staying in a nearby condo, this is a place where you grab a cup of coffee from one of the roadside shops, and head to the beach for a morning stroll as paddlers cruise offshore.

By mid-morning the beach is abuzz with snorkelers, families, and sunbathers, and the sunsets here—like most Kihei beaches—are absolutely gorgeous. It's your classic island day at the beach away from the high end resorts.

Good For: Snorkeling, sunbathing, swimming , boogie boarding, building a sandcastle and staying to watch another beautiful sunset.

Not So Good For: Afternoons can get pretty windy, and parking can sometimes be tough.
