Even though it isn't a "tourist zone" (at least in the sense that there aren't many hotels), Maui's North Shore is quietly home to some of the best restaurants on Maui.

Pa'ia is arguably Maui's best food town, and Ha'iku has a surprising amount of great options—considering the rural setting.
