Polo Beach
Overview:
Popular with the local paddling crowd, Polo Beach is the southernmost "resort" beach in Wailea. The beach fronts The Fairmont Kea Lani, but is popular with local standup paddlers since it's a short walk down to the sand.
The snorkeling here is decent on both ends, but not as good as Wailea Beach or Ulua. Instead, Polo Beach tends to pick up more swell than any neighboring beach, which makes it popular with boogie boarders—occasionally even surfers.

Good For:
Snorkeling, standup paddling, swimming, boogie boarding, parking for the Wailea Coastal Walk.
Not So Good For:
Waves can sometimes get big in summer and resort guests tend to crowd the beach.
Maui Expert Tip For Polo Beach:
Escape the crowds by walking down to the far southern end of the beac. If you're visiting with children, there are a couple of trees toward the middle of the beach that provide some natural shade.
Directions and Parking Situation:
Polo Beach has a large public parking lot at the bottom of Kaukahi Street. If the lot is full there's overflow parking on Kaukahi Street itself.
Facilities:
Restrooms, showers, picnic table, barbecue grill, resort restaurants within walking distance.
